  Bought a mattress and boxspring here and scheduled delivery the following Saturday between 8-1. During the week my phone crapped out and I had to get a new one, so I called the store as soon as they opened on Saturday to give them my new number. Was told that they'd pass the number onto the truck and call me back if they'd already attempted delivery and would have to reschedule. I didn't get a call back so I assumed it would show up and waited around until 3:30. I called the store again, and was told they couldn't deliver it because i wasn't answering my old phone (by the same agent i had provided my new number to). We rescheduled delivery for thenext Saturday between 8-1. Again I waited around all day, when i called the store at around 4 I was told they couldn't even tell me where the truck was or if it would show, because dispatch closed at 3. It finally showed up at 5, and my new mattress is fantastic, but it would have been cheaper and less hassle if I had rented a Uhaul and moved it myself.

  We have had a frustrating experience purchasing a washer & dryer from Sears. We bought a Samsung set and arranged to have it delivered to our cottage near New Glasgow. The delivery date was set for the following Saturday. We waited around until 3:00 and finally called the store in New Glasgow,only to find out they don't deliver on Saturdays - apparently the computer system shows incorrect delivery dates. We arranged for a friend stay at our house the following Friday to accept delivery. The appliances were delivered but when we hooked them up the next day, there was no power to the dryer. We called Sears and they advised they would replace the dryer. They scheduled a new delivery date for two weeks later on Tuesday. We called early Tuesday morning to see when we could expect the delivery guy and were told that they don't deliver on Tuesdays - and that our dryer hadn't even arrived in the New Glasgow store. Frustrated, we asked him if he could trace the item and he told me to call the Halifax store. He also told me that next time I shouldn't buy items in Halifax to be delivered to New Glasgow. Probably good advice but we'll never know .... because there won't ever be a next time.
