    A number of flowers in the Mother’s Day arrangement were in poor condition. And the arrangement had a very, very strong fragrance. Because of the scent the nursing home where my mother lives would not allow the flowers to go in her room. Fragrant flowers are nice for some situations but it's the business of any florist to know when fragrance is not appropriate. The delivery address was clearly a nursing home. Irises should have (a) noticed the nursing home address, (b) been aware of fragrance restrictions in such institutions, and (c) altered the arrangement or contacted me to recommend an alternate flower arrangement.

    I sent an email to Irises expressing my dissatisfaction. It was addressed to the email address provided on their website, which turns out to be an invalid email address. So my email bounced back and wasn't delivered. I chose not to phone them because I had no desire to hear them argue which is what I think would have happened. Instead, I posted this review.

    I ordered a bouquet from their website for my sister for a special occasion and paid for the "Better" size bouquet (Good; Better; Best are the options). It came to $109 total, so I figured it would have to be a pretty nice bouquet. The website said it would be delivered the next day (the day before her event) which was exactly what I wanted. But the flowers never made it. When I called the next day, the owner couldn't reach his delivery guy to see what happened but said maybe the flowers were with the doorman at her building. Turns out that's not what happened at all and the flowers just never made it to her building. The owner then said that he would ensure a SECOND bouquet (and so that she would now be receiving TWO bouquets) would definitely be specially done up and go out for delivery first thing the next morning (the day of the important event). BUT GUESS WHAT? THOSE flowers also didn't go out. So eventually only one bouquet ended showing up the day after the special event and the pictures of the bouquet my sister sent to me were very underwhelming for paying $109 for a "Better" bouquet, and they didn't even match the picture on the website at all (at least they were still nice flowers included in the bouquet she received though, that's why I gave them 2-stars instead of 1). I didn't even bother to call back to complain again because I knew I wouldn't get anywhere......

    Furthermore, my order included instructions to deliver on the day BEFORE Mother's Day if Irises anticipated problems with a timely delivery on Mother's Day. I provided those instructions because the previous year they delivered flowers quite late on Mother's Day.

    I placed on online order for delivery of Mother's Day flowers. They were delivered the day AFTER Mother's Day! What is the point of Mother's Day flowers on the day after Mother's Day?

    Ruined Mother's day for me. The flowers looked nothing ( I mean not even slightly) like the catalogue image (it was an online order), and really quite terrible customer service. If you intend to purchase something from them, by all means do, but just do it in person or perhaps buy a floral arrangement from Sobeys. Perhaps different people have different experiences with them, but I'm simply writing this so that if someone like me is trying to surprise a loved one, they are aware that they might have a unfortunate experiences like I did.

    Truly disappointed. I sent flowers to my daughter - the flowers arrived but the Teddy Bear I ordered did not. The message on the card was not even close to what I wrote in my message.

    Other reviewers commented that Irises delivers flowers that look nothing like the pictures on the website. I have experienced that often with this flower shop. The substituted flower arrangements were very nice, just nothing like what was ordered. I accepted that because other HRM flower shops I tried haven't been great. But Irises latest disappointment has me looking again for a new flower shop that can provide better service.
