  I am very happy with customer service at The Home Depot. I've been to other Home Depots, yet Halifax's one excels in customer service. Attentive, and knowledgeable staff approached you with the intent to assist you and help you. Home Depot Halifax is more and more becoming my go to store for any renovation-new project needs.

  I asked a sales associate for a drywall product and his response was "why would we carry that??? It's a specialty product." What kind of service is that? Make your customers feel bad for asking for a product? (Edit: I found out months later that they actually carry the product)

  Went to another sales associate and asked for assistance for a tool, and they gave attitude and said it was in a different place in the store and did not offer to show me. It's not like it was a busy time, there was virtually no one in the store. This was my first and last Home Depot halifax experience. I will not be returning.

  I have had the worst experience with this Home Depot. If you can go anywhere else for your needs I’d recommend going there instead of this Home Depot. I ordered an LG dryer on December 17. Now at the end of January I am still without this dryer. The delivery was cancelled three times. When the item was finally delivered the dryer was severely damaged. The dryer was then sent back and redelivered for a second time only to be damaged again. Attempts to contact Home Depot about cancelling my order has been met with resistance.

  Writing this review while my frustration is fresh. Had my washer die on me two weekends ago, had a repairman come in and diagnose that it would cost too much to repair the washer so I should buy a new one. Found a pretty sweet deal at Home Depot on Monday (today is Friday), decided to get it from here because we've purchased appliances from here before without issue. Sales rep was a nice guy, so overall a good experience...because the washer was already in store, it was going to be delivered on the wednesday. AWESOME! Wednesday, morning I have received no call about delivery. Check my service summary to find out that my number was taken down wrong (that was my fault for not double-checking). Ended up calling the project support team twice to get the number sorted but ultimately ended up having to go back into the store because they couldn't reach the store by phone. Went back into the store, got a new delivery date for Friday with delivery confirmation call by 8pm thursday. Didn't receive a call.....called Armour (delivery service) in the evening - they assured me that delivery was for Friday (today) between 12-4. Almost 4pm now, hear nothing about the delivery...call Armour again. The delivery guys arrive 5 minutes later. Unpack the washer, bring it upstairs..walk into my laundry room and then tell me that since no one told me to unplug the old washer, they can't perform the installation. Dropped off my washing machine and walked off. The only good thing about this whole situation is that I got my new washing machine...outside of that, it was delivered days later than it should have, after I had to chase people down and I still have to wait until Monday to get it connected up and usable. Who knows what's going to happen next......thoroughly not impressed Home Depot.

  I purchased a washing machine from this store. I was given a shipping date from the sales person, and was advised that I would receive a call the day prior. The day prior, I called the 1-800 number on my invoice to determine the delivery time, as I hadn't received a call from them. I was advised that the washer was coming the next day, but they couldn't give me a time. I was told to call back later. I called back later, and still didn't receive a time. I was told I would receive a call the next morning. I didn't receive a call the next morning, and when I called again, I was told the washer was not being delivered that day. I took the day off work to receive this washer. Home Depot hires a delivery company to deliver their appliances, and you will receive your item at the convenience of the delivery company. If I was told this by the sales person, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Very poor customer service and communication by Home Depot. Luckily, there are many other retail options in the Halifax area, so I will not be shopping at Home Depot again.
